Frequently Asked Questions

How do I log today's weight?
Open the app, tap the weight field on the Home tab, enter your weight in pounds, and tap Commit.

Can I edit today's weight after I've logged it?
Yes. Tap the large weight display on the Home tab. You can update it, and the app will confirm before saving.

How is my streak calculated?
Your streak counts consecutive days you've logged a weight. If you miss a day, the streak resets. Logging before midnight is fine, time of day doesn't matter.

What do the heatmap colors mean?
Each square represents one day. Dark green means you lost more than 0.1 lbs compared to your previous entry. Light green means you maintained (within 0.1 lbs). Red means you gained more than 0.1 lbs. Empty squares mean no data for that day.

Is my data backed up anywhere?
No. WeightCommit stores all data locally on your device. If you delete the app or switch to a new phone, your data does not transfer. You can export a CSV of all your entries from Settings before switching devices. iCloud sync is planned for a future update.

How do I delete all my data?
Open Settings (gear icon on Home tab), scroll to Reset, and tap Delete All Data. This is permanent.

How do I delete a single entry?
Go to the History tab and swipe left on any entry to delete it.

Does WeightCommit support kilograms?
Not yet. Pounds only in v1.0. Kilograms are on the roadmap.

Is WeightCommit a medical device?
No. WeightCommit is for personal tracking and informational purposes only. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any weight management plan.

Who built this?
WeightCommit is built by Jainil Patel at Swami Shriji Krupa LLC. It's a small indie project.
